Organising Services
The aim of our joint efforts should be to help you bring your ideal life closer to realisation by creating the right environment in your home.
First, I will help you to create a visualisation of your ideal life.
I will explain the fundamentals of the KonMari® method and how it is implemented (and we’ll do some exercises to help build your understanding of this).
I will use the KonMari® method to help you work through all your possessions in the order of: clothes; books; papers; komono (miscellaneous items); sentimental.
For each category, I will show you how to understand and recognise what sparks joy for you. This will allow you to decide which items will feature in your ideal life and, therefore, what you should keep.
I will plan our sessions to divide the entire journey into manageable steps. At the beginning of each session, we will recap the previous session and discuss any changes that have happened since then. At the end of each session, we will agree what we’ll cover in the next session and what you are aiming to do before then.
In the final session, we’ll discuss what remains to be done for you to complete your journey. Once you’ve completed these final steps, you should contact me to arrange a debrief session, which we will do by video call.
Important Points
I will support and encourage you on your tidying journey, but I will not do it for you. In particular, I will never discard any items without your agreement.
I can recommend ways to recycle and dispose of items that are no longer wanted, and I will help you to prepare items for disposal, donation or sale, but I will not take any unwanted items away with me.
Please make me aware of any fragile, valuable or extremely heavy items. I may ask you to take charge of moving or storing these items correctly to minimise the risk of loss, damage or injury.
I will recommend storage solutions, and I may be able to provide some materials, but you will need to arrange construction / installation of any bespoke storage yourself.
If you have any questions, please email mickey@tidyhappyhome.co.uk.
