Visualising Your Ideal Lifestyle

These exercises will help you get started. Don’t feel you have to limit yourself to just these. Have fun with it.

Take some time to sit quietly. Allow yourself the space to think about what you want your ideal life to look like at the end of your tidying journey.

Don’t limit yourself this is your best life.

Visualise yourself in a place where you feel alive, free and most like your authentic self. Take a mental photograph of yourself.

Imagine you have been gifted a full day off, with no responsibilities what would you do?

Imagine what you want your home to look like. How would you like it to feel? How do you want to spend your time in it?

Ask yourself what it is you want. Get as detailed as possible and visualise living your best life. Imagine how it will feel.

Keep asking yourself questions so you can understand what it is that you want.

The goal is to have a clear understanding of what your ideal lifestyle looks like.

Start by asking yourself what it is that makes you happy. What things bring you joy? What activities recharge your batteries? What fills your soul with joy? There are no right or wrong answers.

Here are some examples of things you might want.

I want to spend time meditating before bed.

I want to listen to classical music while doing yoga.

I want to relax in the bath and read a good book.

I want to have more fun with the family.

I want to have more time to exercise.

I want to explore new work possibilities.

You get the idea.

Be as creative and detailed as you can. Ask yourself “Why?” again, for each answer. Repeat this process three to five times for every item.

As you continue to explore the reasons behind your ideal lifestyle, you will come to a simple realisation. The whole point in both keeping and discarding things is to be happy. It may seem obvious, but it is important to experience this realisation for yourself and let it sink into your heart.

Use whatever tools work for you.

You might like to draw or paint your ideal lifestyle, you might want to use a notebook to write it down, you could use Pinterest. Or create a visual board on your computer. Maybe cut pictures out of magazines or print some images out to make a beautiful mood board. There are no limits. The key thing to remember is to keep asking yourself why, be honest with yourself and give yourself permission to dream, get creative and be brave

Remember this is your Ideal Lifestyle so have some fun with this.

I hope this helps. I can’t wait to hear what your Ideal Lifestyle will look like. 💖
